I had a great mentor at an early age.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, by way of Philadelphia, then Colorado and presently growing in southern California. My educational concentration has always been in the arts of painting, design, and photography.

In 1995 I found myself in Europe to study the art on the walls of the Louvre, Musée d’ Orsay, and the Prado. Then to Columbia, South America, it was along these travels that my sense of style, design, color, composition, humanity, and self were further developed. I’ve been constantly striving to improve myself and my design skills. Design is my driving passion. Everything in my life is affected by it, life decisions are based upon it. Understanding how great design works – and showing others the importance of well-thought-out, beautiful design – is what I get the most joy from. Currently working as freelance art director and owner VIDA Marketing Communications.

Keep an open mind; look up, look down, look close, look far away, and pay attention to the lighting and how it interacts with your surroundings. Look at angles, backgrounds, signs, pay attention to people as they walk by. Look at the details. Look for moments or ideas.

Eyes can be the most important aspect of showing emotion through a street photograph. Pay attention to people’s eyes when you capture them.
